Mathieu Bélanger
Mathieu is a bilingual lawyer practicing civil litigation with a focus on professional negligence. He also advises and represents unions in a variety of matters. He has appeared and argued cases before all levels of courts in Ontario, and before several administrative tribunals and boards.
Mathieu joined Dewart Gleason in 2016 after working as a law clerk to the judges of the Court of Appeal for Ontario. He obtained a law degree in French common law from the University of Ottawa and a master’s degree in international affairs from Carleton University in 2015. While at law school, Mathieu was a division leader at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic.
Mathieu is a member of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario. He is pleased to represent clients in French and help them navigate the justice system in French in Ontario.
