Megan Reid

Megan Reid joined Dewart Gleason in 2012 after practicing for several years as counsel for the Air Canada Component of CUPE, which represents airline flight attendants.

Megan is an accomplished labour lawyer, with experience practicing before arbitrators and labour relations boards, and courts. She has extensive experience litigating a broad range of issues, including attendance management, union representation rights, and employee health benefits. She has also represented unions in collective bargaining and in interest arbitrations.

Megan also practices employment law, and also works on civil litigation and lawyer defence matters. She has a particular interest in equality issues.

Megan serves on the board of directors of a private foundation and a non-profit. She previously worked in Parliament, and has served as an advisor to the provincial government on access to education issues. She was awarded a Governor General’s Award in Commemoration of the Persons Case for her work promoting the advancement of women’s equality.

Megan is fluent in French and English.
