Sam Misra
Sam (she/her) joined Dewart Gleason as an associate in 2024, after working at another prominent union-side labour firm. She practices in union-side labour law, employment law, and civil litigation.
Sam earned her JD at Osgoode Hall Law School, during which time she was a caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services, working alongside workers on wage theft, discrimination, and harassment cases. She also served as a senior editor on the Journal of Law and Social Policy. In her pre-law life, Sam worked alongside community members as a participatory action researcher, centered on the complex and various lived experiences of working-class communities in policy-making.
When she’s not at work, Sam can frequently be found wandering through art galleries or trying, in vain, to keep her houseplants alive.
